“Where Abilities Are Recognized, Nurtured, and Celebrated”
The DIS ABILITY Project by Nora Foundation is a pioneering initiative designed to minimize the impact of disabilities and enhance the quality of life for children with special needs. Launched across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, this project marks a bold and compassionate step toward inclusive rehabilitation, offering early intervention, therapy, and comprehensive care.
Understanding that early support can change the trajectory of a child’s life, Nora Foundation established state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Centres for Children with Special Needs in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. These centers offer a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children receive individualized care and therapy tailored to their specific challenges and developmental goals. What makes this initiative groundbreaking is that, for the first time in India, high-quality rehabilitation has been made fully accessible to underprivileged and economically disadvantaged families who otherwise cannot afford these essential services.
Each center is staffed by qualified professionals and offers a wide range of therapies and interventions under one roof:
To help children develop positive behavior patterns and social skills.
Enhancing communication abilities, addressing speech delays and language disorders.
Improving daily living skills, motor coordination, and sensory integration.
Supporting physical development, strength, and mobility in children with physical impairments.
Tailored learning support focusing on academic, cognitive, and life skills.
Regular medical assessments and developmental evaluations for holistic care.
To ensure early detection and timely intervention, Nora Foundation actively conducts. Multi-Disability Screening and Awareness Camps in urban slums, rural areas, and underserved communities. These camps aim to:
● Identify children showing signs of developmental delays or disabilities.
● Provide initial assessments and referrals for therapy and care.
● Educate parents and caregivers about developmental milestones, early warning signs, and available support systems.
● Reduce stigma and encourage families to seek help without fear or hesitation.
The DIS ABILITY Project is not just about therapy — it’s about giving every child the chance to live a fuller, happier, and more independent life. Nora Foundation’s approach is rooted in compassion, expertise, and a firm belief that disability should never be a barrier to potential.
With each child we support, we’re not only transforming individual lives — we’re transforming mindsets, families, and entire communities.
